Natural Resources Policy

We explore the intersection of natural science and policy, investigating governance and adaptation to environmental threats for sustainable human well-being and ecosystem protection.

Our faculty investigate questions at the interface of natural science and environmental policy. Their research aims to understand governance and adaptation in response to ecological threats such as climate change and invasive species, and how environmental change can affect human well-being at multiple scales. The faculty tackle these programs from perspectives in ecology, economics, and social sciences, with the objective of contributing to the development of policies that protect ecosystems while sustaining their contributions to human well-being. Tools used include data science, surveys, interviews and institutional analysis with environmental data to answer questions about social-ecological systems.
