Extension
Connecting the university to our communities.
Partnering with communities and industries.
Cooperative Extension works to improve lives, communities, and the economy through a statewide network of knowledgeable faculty and staff. As a part of our land-grant university, Cooperative Extension plays a critical role in our mission to educate our communities and empower the next generation of experts to grow sustainable regional and global economies, and to develop new knowledge and technologies to benefit society.
Extension Faculty
In the face of prolonged drought and increasing weather variability, many decision-makers desire data, information, and consultation to better plan and manage their resources and operations. Cooperative Extension faculty and our county agents conduct research and provide educational programs on rangeland resource planning methods, vegetation monitoring and restoration techniques, and Indigenous or Traditional Ecology Knowledge.

Natural Resource Users Law and Policy Center
The Natural Resource Users Law and Policy Center (NRULPC) is a creative partnership of the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law and Cooperative Extension that grew out of grassroots discussions. The Center’s aims are to collaborate with stakeholders, mentor student clinicians and fellows, provide scholarly legal and policy analysis, and address the underrepresented law and policy needs of the natural resource community of Arizona and the West.
