Interdisciplinary research focused on disease ecology, conservation biology, ecosystem services, and the evolution of microbes, plants, and animals with projects in Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Australia, Tibet, Iceland, and across the U.S.

I have taught a variety of courses, including: Microbiology, Host-Associated Microbiomes, Tropical Disease Ecology, Environmental Microbiology, Evolution, Conservation Biology, and General Biology.
