Research

My research focuses on the social and political dimensions of science education that influences inequity of access, and mediates our understanding of and relationship to science issues. I am interested in the transformative impact of critical dialogue, particularly that which is cross-cultural, intercultural, and/or intergenerational, and place-based learning for not only becoming better thinkers and decision-makers about science issues, but also generating solidarity around those most affected.
