Dr. Koprowski in Huffington Post, "Why Squirrels Seem To Have Kinda Let Themselves Go This Winter"

Thursday, January 7, 2016

Dr. Koprowski was recently quoted in an article by the Huffington Post, "Why Squirrels Seem To Have Kinda Let Themselves Go This Winter." The article offers a humorous look how climate change and the weather this winter are affecting squirrels in the U.K. and parts of the U.S. and Canada. As Dr. Koprowksi explains, this year's mild winter means squirrels have burned off less of their fat reserves. However, as the winter goes on squirrels are expected to shed their extra weight as they expend energy maintaining their body temperature.
