Ashwin Naidu establishes the Fishing Cat Conservancy to help endangered cat species

Ashwin Naidu, who successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation in November, has now established an organization to help with the conservation of the endangered fishing cat. The Fishing Cat Conservancy will help reduce the threats that the cats face by educating the local community and rehabilitating cats. The fishing cat is found in the mangroves along the coast of South India, and has partially webbed paws which help it to swim and catch fish.
