Earyn McGee receives NSF Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship
Sept. 30, 2016
SNRE graduate student Earyn McGee was among 12 students selected to receive a two-year Bridge to the Doctorate fellowship, sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The award sponsors students from underrepresented minorities to pursue Doctorates in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields, covering the cost of tuition and a $32,000 fellowship for two years.
Earyn McGee was nominated for the award by her advisor, Dr. Bogan. The award will help Earyn continue her doctoral studies, which examine the cascading effects of drought and stream drying on riparian species, with an emphasis on lizards in southeast Arizona.
