Dr. Laura Lo?pez-Hoffman has been promoted to Full Professor and Dr. Jia Hu has been promoted to Associated Professor with the award of tenure. Congratulations to these deserving SNRE faculty!!
 
Dr. Laura Lo?pez-Hoffman?s research focuses on climate adaptation and sustainability, restoration and management, and social dimensions in natural resources. In addition to instructing undergraduate and graduate level courses, Dr. Lo?pez-Hoffman leads a team of graduate students and research scientists on a series of projects, including such topics as coupled human-natural systems, agroecosystems, and adaptive management strategies. Dr. Jia Hu studies water-soil-plant interactions across multiple scales, from individuals to ecosystems, in order to understand how physiological mechanisms can drive ecological patterns across space and time. Dr. Hu teaches a number of undergraduate and graduate level courses, such as Watershed Hydrology, and advises doctoral students studying interdisciplinary topics in hydrology and dendrophysiology.
