Thandiwe Mweetwa on National Geographic: Saving Lions

Watch Thandiwe Mweetwa discuss her work to help save lions in the Luangwa Valley of Zambia. Mweetwa, a masters student advised by Dr. Dave Christianson, was named one of National Geographic's 2016 Emerging Explorers. The video is of a talk that Mweetwa delivered in D.C. as part of a celebration of this year's Emerging Explorers. 

In addition to this talk, Mweetwa is to be profiled in National Geographic magazine and she will also receive a $10,000 prize to be used toward furthering her research on lions in Zambia.
