Dr. Steve Archer Gives Plenary Address at International Dryland Symposium

On November 30, Dr. Steve Archer delivered the plenary address on "Stewardship of wild drylands: land cover perspectives" at the International Dryland Symposium: Stewardship for Future Drylands. Researchers from the U.S. and Mexico were present at the conference, which was organized by the Scientific Mexican Ecological Society.  In addition to researchers, the conference included perspectives of poets and artists who spoke about respecting and tapping into the knowledge of indigenous peoples to combat the desertification of drylands in Mexico.
