About the M.S. in Natural Resources/MBA dual degree
This dual degree program provides a unique niche for graduate students to enhance their opportunities in industry, non-governmental organizations, and government by emphasizing the natural resources aspect of policy, management, economics, resource assessment, and the application of technology to administration, management, and entrepreneurship in the natural resources sector of the economy.
This program gives you the opportunity to earn a Master of Business Administration from the Eller College of Management and a Master of Natural Resources from the School of Natural Resources and the Environment within three academic years plus one summer session.
How to apply
You must apply and be accepted separately into the Eller College of Management Master of Business Administration and our M.S. in Natural Resources to enroll in this dual degree program.
Dual degree requirements
- Eller College of Management MBA: 55 total units (40 required, 15 elective)
- M.S. in Natural Resources: 30–36 total units (24–30 course units, 6 thesis/project units)
- Total credits for dual degree: 70–76 units (40 Eller, 30–36 SNRE)
- Elective units for the Eller MBA can be tied by 15 units required in the M.S. in Natural Resources, e.g. 6 units thesis/project plus 9 units agreed upon and approved by both Eller and SNRE.
- Students in the dual degree program will be required to enroll in the summer Entrepreneurial Certificate program (admission is automatic if accepted to dual degree program).
- Time to complete: 3 academic years and one intermediate summer (after first academic year).
