Valerie Gordon is the Executive Director of Cuenca Los Ojos, bringing more than 25 years of conservation experience focused on working lands in the American West, with an emphasis on water restoration, habitat connectivity, and large-scale habitat recovery. She serves on several regional and national boards dedicated to landscape and habitat conservation. At Cuenca, Valerie is building on three decades of water restoration work while advancing a new phase centered on rewilding and the active repopulation of native species to restore ecosystem function. She lives on the east side of the Sierra Nevada in California and spends most of her time working on the Cuenca Los Ojos Reserve in Sonora, Mexico.
