Seminar: A Journey from Academia to Bridging the Gap between Science Conservation

Years ago as I completed my PhD, I had visions of being faculty at an R1 University, but my postdoc and subsequent job opportunities led me down a very different path. I was quickly thrust into the world of conservation biology, first doing research that was going to be directly used for wildlife conservation and management to having the opportunity to found my own nonprofit that conducts scientific research and uses the results to conduct on the ground conservation. In the presentation, I will take you through this journeys and focus on many of the science and connected conservation projects we have implemented over the years.
