Professor Donald Falk served on a panel of experts who briefed Congressional staff and others on how new research can help fire-management efforts to protect lives and property. The briefing took place at lunchtime on April 12, and was sponsored by the University Corporation for Atomospheric Research (UCAR). As part of the panel, Dr. Falk helped lead a discussion on solutions and challenges for understanding wildland fires and how to improve safety and reduce the costs of these events.
