The University of Arizona

UA Wild Cat Center Photo Exhibit and Fundraiser Events

Lisa Haynes, Coordinator of the UA Wild Cat Center would like to invite you to a beautiful exhibit of photography of the world's wild cats, combined with upcoming fundraising events for the UA Wild Cat Center. They will be showcasing stunning wild cat photographs taken by Fred Hood (www.FelidFoto.com) and Jim Sanderson (www.smallcats.org). They will also exhibit photographs from our Tucson Mountains Cat Camera project, a Backyard Bobcat Photo project, some gorgeous composites of photographs taken by other groups dedicated to jaguar conservation, and "Team Tiger"--our effort to support tiger conservation in India.

The exhibit and events are sponsored in part by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Institute of the Environment.

The exhibit will be on display 7 days a week from April 14th through May 3rd in the UA Student Union Kachina Gallery (2nd floor, SE corner).  Parking is available in the Mountain Garage (from Speedway, south on Mountain).  Many of the photographs will be for sale.

They will be hosting three, duplicate fundraising events on Saturday April 16 (from 3:00-6:00), Monday April 18 (from 4:00-7:00), and Saturday April 30 (from 3:00-6:00). Please join them on any of these dates, one hour after the start, for a short slideshow of the Center's critical mission and projects in Tucson and around the world--especially emphasizing our "Team Tiger" initiative.

As I'm sure you've heard, the University is in dire straits financially and there is no dedicated University funding for our efforts.  We rely solely on grants and donations for program support, and for critically important wild cat projects here and worldwide.

If you cannot attend one of the events, but would like to donate, send a check made out to "University of Arizona Foundation" or "UAF", with the memo line re: "UA Wild Cat Center" to the address below.

Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested.

We so hope you can join us at one of these events.  GO CATS!!!!!!
